See where your illustrations end up and decide yourself what to do about it.
ImageTrace finds copies of your artwork on the open web. You get the evidence; you decide whether to invoice, request takedown, or escalate. We never take a percentage of what you recover. Checking an image costs €1. You only pay the rest, €5 in total, on the images that actually turn something up.
For artists who want to see where their work travels.
From artwork to case file, in four steps.
No mandatory lawyer, no percentage of recovery, no obligation to act. You set the pace and pick the next step.
- 01
Detect
Upload an illustration. ImageTrace scans public web pages, marketplaces, and social feeds for copies, including cropped, resized, and lightly edited versions.
- 02
Review
Per match: source URL, screenshot, first-seen date. You decide whether it is a licensed use, a repost with credit, or outright infringement.
- 03
Decide
Send an invoice, request takedown, bring in your own lawyer, or do nothing. All we give you is the evidence. What you do with it is up to you.
Not sure what to ask for? ImageTrace suggests an amount from the published Stichting BeeldAnoniem 2026 tariff list, with surcharges when attribution is missing or your image was used as a logo, and the letter cites the whole calculation. You can always enter your own number instead.

Follow
Every letter opens a case you can track to sent, replied, paid or ignored, with a reminder if nobody answers.
Real screenshots. No mockups.

We never take a percentage of what you recover.
Some services take 30 to 50 percent of the amount they collect on your behalf. After that, their lawyer decides what happens with your claim. That is not how we work. You stay in control: invoice directly, request takedown, or do nothing.
We are not lawyers. We do not provide legal services. What you do with the evidence is up to you.
When someone crops your signature off or strips the credit from the file, that is not just annoying: it is evidence. ImageTrace records what the file carried when it left you and what is missing where it turned up, and the demand letter cites the difference.
Work regularly with the same clients? Add their domains once and every match on those sites is labelled as licensed instead of competing for your attention, both the matches you already have and every scan after.
€1 per check.
Up to 50% off the rest as you grow.
No commitments, subscription optional. Credits start at €25. You only pay the rest on images that actually turn something up, and the more you use, the less that costs.
Drag both to match your own situation.
The 50 images that came back clean cost you €1 each, not €5. At Silver this same month is €250.
Stay consistent. Get rewarded.
Your tier is determined by monthly usage across consecutive months. Miss a month below the threshold and you step down one level. So loyalty is literal.

Frequently asked questions
- JPG and PNG, up to 20 MB per file.
- Your image is processed for the scan and stays available while you work. If you leave the search untouched for 30 days it moves to your Archive; 30 days later the image is permanently deleted, unless you keep it in your Library. The exception: if you turn on monitoring, we keep the image encrypted in EU storage so we can re-run the scan on your cadence. It is removed when you cancel the watch.
- Our visual matching catches identical copies and most edits: crops, resizes, recolors, and lightly modified versions. You review each match yourself and decide whether it is a licensed use, a repost with credit, or unauthorized use.
- Pay-per-scan with volume discounts. No subscription required. You buy credits and use them whenever.
- Yes. Email us and we close your account, remove your images and your scan history, and confirm when it is done. Anything we are legally required to keep, such as invoices, we keep for as long as the law says and no longer.
- Every letter and evidence document is sealed when we generate it: we take a SHA-256 checksum of the exact file and register it with an independent timestamping authority, so the file's content and its date can both be proven later. Anyone you send it to can verify it themselves through a public link, without an ImageTrace account. We are not a law firm and this is not legal advice, but the evidence is built to hold up.
- No. Never. You only pay for the scan. What you do with a match and what that earns you is entirely yours.
